I want to know what others think about the bands Rush and Tool and which one is better. I personally think Rush is much more talented, genius, and just over all better. All of my friends on the other hand love Tool beyond what they should. I like both but still, Rush is better to me... so what do you guys think?

I LOVE RUSH! No doubt about it. There is no arguement about it. Your friends obviously don't understand the meaning behind the lyrics and don't understand the beauty within their musical talents. Alex Lifeson's amazing solo's, Geddy Lee's vocals, keyboarding skills and bass talents, and Neil Peart's incredible drumming! Tool doesn't come anywhere near them!
And besides, when I hear Rush, a sensation comes over me like you wouldn't believe. I need to move. They make my body go out of control. If I don't listen to them, I feel like I have left something behind, I can't sleep. It actually took me two weeks to figure it out. Now I listen to them daily.

Rush is a much better band in my opinion. They are more talented musicians that make richer music than anything Tool has done so far.

Rush Rules! I love their innovative and unique brand of power rock combined with keyboards and synths! Geddy Lee's soaring high-pitched vocals, Alex Lifeson's virtuoso guitar riffs, Neil's incredible drumming technique! They're awesome musicians-not to mention the intelligent and poetic lyrics. Songs like: Subdivisions, New World Man, Red Barchetta, Tom Sawyer, Time Stand Still, Countdown, Limelight!!!! I love them all!

Tool is the new Rush. So they both are equally awesome.

how can you even compare tool with rush...there both good bands but Tool is so much better
