I agree with the NBA. Playing professional basketball is a career and it should be treated as such. I feel like it is good that they are required to wear a suit and tie when they are arriving at their "job".

The NBA is a job, and jobs have dress codes. With that said, I do think the NBA went to far. I do feel that they should be able to regulate what the players wear on the court and when they are sitting on the sidelines. I think telling them what they can and can't wear to and from the game is just silly.

I can understand the dress code, especially in the wake of the brawl. The league wanted players to project a more professional image, which isn't done when players sat on the sidelines in football jerseys and baseball caps.
The tights ban, though, is silly. The league did it because they thought players were wearing them for the looks, which is asinine, because no man wears a pair of pantyhose for the looks, they wear them to help avoid injury and swelling, to relieve discomfort because of existing injury, or for compression, which helps the muscles work more efficiently. For those reasons, instead of banning them, the league should help encourage players to wear them, because if wearing them can help players avoid injury, especially those star players like Wade and Carter, whom the league bank on to draw fans, they should be considered a good thing for the league.

The NBA isn't a way educate, and those adult men are paid different tens of millions of money to characterize the NBA... not themselves. they are area of a company... a agency. i imagine it truly is a staggering theory. The NBA is between the purely professional events institutions that wouldn't have a gown code, and it hasn't damage any of the different leagues.

I do not understand why tights are banned, but I can see why street clothes are...it is a business. Imagine if you worked in an office, you wouldnt see a co-worker dressed like a thug. ..Company Policy (:

I totally agree with banning the street clothes...but I think banning the tights is ridiculous. It is just David Stern going way overboard...again!!!

I like it. I don't want to see any player wearing "thug" clothes. It reflects poorly on the NBA.

What do you care....it don't apply to you anyway. Money talks.....you don't pay their big money salary and those that DO pay it, have the right to call it how THEY want it....NOT YOU AND THE OTHERS..... and you and others got no say in the matter.
