Most people believe that singing talent starts from childhood. I have very amateur experience with singing. Can I possibly become better-enough to be considered talented?

Certainly if you give it a chance. Personally if you are serious about it, there is two things you need to do. First Forget about singing talent comes from child hood. Second, go find a good music teacher that will help you improve your singing abilty. I really didnt learn how to sing or play music till I was 15 . Its all about 10 % talent and 90% techeque. Learn the technque the rest will fall in to place.

Yes I think you could I'm a 26 year old man that has learned and am still learning to play the guitar and sing. And I started playing about 5 years ago and I have learned so much about playing and singing. But one thing I do know is that singing has to come from the heart and that means don't try to hard .If it's there it will come out of you in time and practice.

I started singing when I was 19... and not very good at all! I began singing for my church, and kept singing more and more, and now, I'm pretty good. Not the best, but I know how to control my voice and my range is much better.

Keep trying!

Oh my Lord!! You are very young, and in the music business 22 is still young. Now when you get in your 30's the music industry considers that to be ancient! lol!
