I recently found out that I had termites. My first thought was to call an exterminator and get the house tented. My neighbor then told me that not all the termites were bad, and that I should only target the ones that were eating my house, because it would be cruel to kill the innocent termites. Now more of my neighbors are getting involved, some are standing by my decision while others are protesting that all termites have the right to live no matter if they are destroying my house or not. This whole time, my house continues to be devoured by termites. Since I don't want anybody to hate me, I have decided to find out what the rest of the world thinks, because I rather have my home destroyed than have people hate me. What do you think?

Listen infestation is infestation. Your neighbors should first of all stay out of the decisions that you are making to keep your house in good and livable condition. Your house is an investment in your future,(one of your reasons for buying it) and if you ever want that investment to pay off then you have to take steps to ensure the dwellings longevity. Now i don't know anything about termites but i do know this, If your house was to be classified as unlivable due to the damage that these pests made will your bleeding heart neighbors buy it at your asking price and take it off your hands. If anyone of them answers yes get it in writing because the last time i checked a house with that type of problem couldn't be be bonded for the sale. I never heard of anyone knowingly buying a house with a history of termite infestation. Protect your investment and take care of this now before you have a larger and more costly problem on your hands later on.

They are eating your house. Have them killed. We had termites when I was younger and we didn't have our house tented. They drilled holes in foundation and sprayed in the holes.
A termite is a termite.....they eat wood among other things. Have them killed. No moral issues involved. Those bugs don't care about you so why would care about them.

Interesting analogy, but get rid of all of them. They are ruining your house structurely, and causing more damage than you can handle. And I am sure that you can't pay for all of them to live in your home, right? And they don't pay anything to you. . .

What does your Pest inspector recommend? Where do you live ??? in Tibet? ......Tent the house, kill 'em all. Or send them to your neighbors house to live.

I think you should kill them if they are damaging your property...people won't hate you because of that...just tell them in a very nice way: I WANT A PLACE WHERE TO LIVE!!! haha
