For if he tells the truth, he'll give the wrong answer because the other guy would. But if he lies, then he'll give the wrong answer because he'll lie about what the truth-telling guard would say. Either way you get the wrong answer, and you can take the opposite advice.

I would ask one of the guards what time it was because I had a watch I would know if he was lying or telling the thruth, if he was lying I would go to the door of the other guy, if he was telling the thruth I would go through his door
