I've been bombing on watching tons of movies latley, and something's really bugged me.
No one says a simple "please" or "thank you" anymore! Why is this? I've noticed it also in TV shows as well...

Movies, t.v. shows, music--it's all a reflection of the state of society and the lack of manners, like saying "please" and "thank you", is prevalent in our society. I teach kindergarten and you would be amazed at the way these 5 year olds talk. Here is an example: When Jonathan cannot put the straw in his juicebox he says "Can you put this in?", I respond, "It's may you please put my straw in", then when I'm done putting it in, he walks away without a "thank you, mrs. teacher." I could go on forever, but it's pointless because that training has to start at home or else it becomes second nature to not use any kind of manners.

Dose anyone in real life do it? I've seen movies where some do, but most don't it isn't real.....
I remember when, it was natural to say plez and thank U...
but the world has changed alot.........

Unfortunately most people are not even teaching their children manners-can't learn if you're not taught. Notice that most men don't remove their hats when entering buildings anymore. Most probably don't know why they should.

I always wonder why they never say "Bye" before they hang up the phone. Does the other person just know that they are going to hang up right then?

the reason no says please and thank you in movies and television is because of time restraints. especially in TV sitcoms where if you watch telephone conversations, no one says bye because it would actually cut in to meaningful dialog. believe it or not but this a standard practice in the medium.
