I've been looking at getting a new car and am having a hard time deciding between the 2006/2007 Honda Civic Coupe or the 2007 Scion Tc. What do you think and why??

Go with the civic. They are both nice cars, but Honda is above and beyond in quality cars. I never regret having my honda!

The TC is cheaper, but much slower. The TC has 160 hp and a curb weight of 2905 lbs. The power-weight ratio is about 18. And since the car is cheaper, you get a cheaper interior. Then again, everything about the car's material is cheap since they know people are going to mod it. The supercharger will give it that nice boost, but then the car will be in the 20K range.
The SI is might be more expensive than the base TC, but you do get a better interior and more power. Since Honda uses (rev. 8/04) SAE standards, you cannot compare the horsepower between the SI and TC. Right now under new SAE standards, the SI has 197 hp. If the SI was using the old SAE standards, it might be around 210 hp. The curb weight for the SI is 2877 lbs, which is lighter than the TC.
Plus insurance on both cars will be expensive, since a lot of young people buy them and sometimes mod them. I mean, which do you think is more expensive to insure--Civic or Accord? Surprisely, it is the Civic.

Scion is the entry car line to Toyota and many people I know love there TC. But I would go with Honda Civic Si coupe you know that is premium gas only car right? The Si not the others unless it says on the gas door.

Honda civic is better looking, keep the resale price and reliable car...more class.
Even TC made by Toyota...but it is still not good enough for resale value...if you buy Toyota, it's a different story.

TC...much nicer car, higher resale value plus options that you cannot get on a civic

they are both damn good looking cars. but i would go with the civic, esp. if you get the ex. they are quick. choose what you like!!

def. the civic bc they make so many more parts for it and they get amazing gas milage
