I've been sick for about a month and a half with symptoms of bronchitis. I have seen my doctor twice and she put me on antibiotics and cough meds and sinus meds all month. It's not working. I have called her nurse several times and all she says is to come back in.....and what take more of the money I don't have and send me away sick again? I am fed up and sicker than I dog....an suggestions on what to do at this point? I want to hear more than just "change doctors". I know that sometimes some antibiotics don't work for everyone but I don't have the patience

I had Bronchitis for 3 months once.
If it's viral or fungal, antibiotics won't help. Treat the symptoms.
COUGH - Yuo want to cough some, to get the gunk out. But if it's making you sore or you can't sleep, ask the dr to call in a Rx for "Tessalon Pearls" or the generic.
TO GET THE GUNK OUT - "Mucinex" is more potent that the "tussin" syrups. No Rx needed.
ALLERGY CAUSED - Take antihistamines 24/7. "Lortidane" won't usually make you sleepy, take a 12hr for the day and a "Benedryl-type" at night to help you sleep.
FUNGAL - Ask the dr for some "Diflucan"
Get to a good health/herb store like General Nutrition Center (GNC) for PRO-biotics and Immune-Support
Be sure to tell your pharmacist EVERYTHING you take, Rx, over-the-counter herbal, even herb teas/drinks if you take alot of them.

well, if insurance covers it, just go to the ER...in the military, that's what we usually do if we want results or an answer fast...but our medical is free, so i don't know if that would help you or not. good luck feeling better. all in all, you probably will have to change doctors, or ask to see the nurse that is on call instead. sometimes they are very helpful, and can prescribe medication. ;-)

Well I suggest you go to another clince or hosiptal and tell them about you problems and the things they gave you last time that didnt work so they wont try it. Or call customer service and tell them you went to your doctor two times and they didnt help you. You still feel the same and if they could contact a hospital or docotor that they think that they could help you

I hope you feel better!

why dont u just talk to a pharmisist but the best thing to do is go back to see this doctor and tell her that the antibotics are not working for u and if she does nothing than change doctors.

go to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and get a shot in the butt. and never go see that doctor again!

if she gave you a Z-Pak, next time you EVER have to go to the doctor and they try to give you one always ask for something stronger b/c Z-Paks don't work on anybody i've ever talked to b/c they aren't strong enough!

Its time to ask for a referral to a specialist-- probably an Ear, Nose and Thoat doc.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

You need to change doctors. It sounds to me like she is milking your pocket book. That is the problem with allopathic doctors they don't want to admitt that they don't know what is wrong with you so they decide to milk you before you leave.

Find patience and go see another doctor for a second opinion.

Failing that... don't moan about being ill!!
