What is your take on McAllen, TX? Job Market? Family friendly?

This question is for those you current live in or near McAllen TX area please.

I am planning to move there and would like honest opinion of those who live there now.

I don't think too many people in McAllen are on the internet. I live two hours north of mcAllen.....physicians are greatly needed being so close to the border. My cousin and his family lived there...he was a high school coach and she taught school. I never heard either of them say anything unpleasant about the families.

Have lived there.Never again to small.Lots of illegals though crime isn't too bad(as long as you don't get stabed.....)
