Try going to yahoo groups and typing in freecycle you will find lots of groups you can list your trash and it will become someone's treasure
you might want to type in freecycle and the state or town your from or county it's a great thing really...... I use it regularly to get rid of stuff that's too good to toss but know someone out there will come pick it up.....
