I just ask the questions, you get to answer them, I have no axe to grind here.

no, having to be natural born is a good policy. It makes it all the more likely that the person has America in its best interest and is not torn by other allegiences. Not that I think Arnold is, but someone else might come along later if the constitution was changed (it would require a constitutional ammendment, not just a law change).

The law should be changed, but not just for the sake of Gov. Schwarzenegger. He's not done such an incredible job in California that he necessarily deserves to govern the country next, and it would be the first-ever constitutional amendment introduced for the benefit of just one person.

But I must disagree with the Moose. The initial fear was that the British would sneak someone over to become president, then return America to British rule. That rationale obviously no longer holds up. So why maintain this requirement? Legal immigrants have contributed so much to America over the decades - including in the field of politics - why should they be denied the right to seek its ultimate honour? Virtually no other country has such a discriminatory requirement, and once someone is a loyal citizen, it makes no sense to exclude potentially well-qualified people from serving their country in this way.

Change the constitution for that Cone-Head The Barbarian ???
Have you lost your mind. Are you a Californian, by any chance.
Our founding fathers would flip if the Constitution were changed, much less for some one like Arnoold.

Just a few on the man who would be king..from About Entertainment.

The c**k isn't a muscle so it doesn't grow in relation to the shoulders, say, or the pectorals. You can't make it bigger through exercise, that's for sure."

"Nixon was always being attacked sexually. It was always said that he was a fag and that he had no sexual relations with his wife for 15 years and that was why he liked power. And Hitler had only one ball, and that was why he wanted to conquer the world." -in a 1977 interview with Time Out

"My friends don't want me to mention Kurt's name, because of all the recent Nazi stuff and the U.N. controversy, but I love him and Maria does too, and so thank you, Kurt." –on his friend and fellow Austrian Kurt Waldheim, a Nazi war criminal

"My relationship to power and authority is that I'm all for it. People need somebody to watch over them. Ninety-five percent of the people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave." –in a 1990 interview with U.S. News

"I was always dreaming about very powerful people - dictators and things like that. I was just always impressed by people who could be remembered for hundreds of years, or even, like Jesus, be for thousands of years remembered." –in the 1977 film "Pumping Iron"

Chicago Sun Times
Asked who his heroes are, he answered, "I admired Hitler, for instance, because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power. I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."

He is quoted as saying he wished he could have an experience, "like Hitler in the Nuremberg stadium. And have all those people scream at you and just being total agreement whatever you say."

The author of the book proposal, told ABC today that the quotes needed to be seen in context, and that Arnold never said anything anti-Semitic

Iam anti war, I hate violence but I would fight to the death to keep the Constitution intact. Much less for that macho power loving creep.

No. If you weren't born here, you won't have the right mindset to run for president.

Just like you have to be 35 to be president.

We need a president who wants America's best interest and the wisdom to know what that is.

Arnold would make a terrible president.

absolutely not. stop giving this country away. you have to be born here in the united states to be president...andTHAT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE . period. suspose he was molded all his life... to get into politics and become president...so a foreign country could get on the inside. and then we just hand it to them. hey... i am not saying that is the case... but is it not impossible. you people do realize the terminator is just a character in a movie.? you are starting to scare me. arnold..is just an old actor..he is not the terminator..
