Over-supply, low interest rates, and easy credit make this a great time to buy a used car. The overabundance of used cars in the marketplace during the past few years is due to the popularity of new-car sales with high-rebate offers, low-financing opportunities, and dealer-cash options, where available. The result is that more people are trading in their used vehicles for new cars, leaving the used-car market with a glut of quality, pre-owned vehicles.

In the chart above, we list some of the used cars that carry substantial savings and have been listed as “Good Bets” by Consumer Reports. These are models that have consistently done well in our tests and have had consistently above-average reliability. The Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) when the vehicle was new is listed along with the current retail price, based on standard mileage and our price analysis, which provides consumers with a close approximation of the actual cost for the vehicle.

I have purchased three used vehicles in the past three years. A 1990 Honda Civic, a 1993 Chevy Cavalier, and a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. They all have well over 200,000 original miles on them and run fairly well. Personally, I prefer the Honda Civic. It is well-priced, roomy, gets good gas mileage, and handles very well. So far the only things that have needed to be replaced since I bought in October of 2003 are an axle, a battery, an alternator, a belt, a fuse, and four tires. That's not too bad for a car old enough to get a license and drive itself. It makes interesting noises occasionally and the paint is fading, but overall I expect to get many more miles out of my Civic before the transmission goes and I have to get rid of it.

Honda Accord I guess. This is the best car Honda maid so far. So, if you have proper budget you can go and look for that. Also, you can check the orlando fl used cars before you buy one. Those cars are too good. If you have low budget this is the best place to go.

Either an Accord or a Camry. Best resale value and most dependable. Accords look cooler though...
