it is black and mounted in the middle of the firewall behind the motor I think it takes a special socket to get the banjo bolt off the top of the filter always use a back up wrench to hold the filter from turning twisting the metal fuel line on the bottom of the filter and use line wrench 14 mm on the bottom line while holding the filter with a 19mm wrench.

Well, the fuel filter on a 2000 Civic is located on the firewall, just behind the engine and exhaust manifold. I would check there.

Dealer,inside fuel tank,part of fuel pump hanger.Open trunk,remove lining,near rear seat.

driverside in front of back tire there should be a acess panel somewhere
