My ex has caused false info. about me to be posted on many websites. I have requested that the websites remove the info. & many have but some refuse! What can I do without spending a fortune on attorneys to get this information removed?

I should have added...we are in different states & the websites are in diff. states yet so WHERE would I get an atty? also, it stems from legal charges he brought against me but they were dropped once investigated & found to be false.
Thank you to those who are giving helpful info. & not flippant remarks!

I think an attorney would be a good investment at this point. If he is guilty then you can probably get him to pay all the court costs.

Try and see if you can get some Legal Aid, Check the phone book, and see if you have a Legal Aid Society near you.
Some lawyers do ProBono work, you can check those out, although, I am not sure, where you could.
Legal Aid, seems your best bet, if the web managers won't take that information down.

Pay and attorney to draft a cease and desist letter and send it to them threatening litigation if they continue to run false and defaming information about you. Then, sue the ex.
