hit the pavement and newpapers real hard and start asking around. Make sure you have an updated resume and when potential employers or interviewers ask you what you've done in the last 4 months be honest and tell them. As your friends and family if there is any job openings that they know of... and just keep at it. Don't be discouraged.

First thing is to make your CV (Summary of education and employment).
Second thing is to do the papers - look at all the want ads and apply to anything that you think you can manage.
Third thing is to pound the pavement - go to areas that are industrial / office / restaurants, etc and fill in applications or drop off your CV. You can even e-mail or fax your cv, but that's less EFFECTIVE even though it's efficient.
Good luck!
Toodles.

Consider a temp agency. This could lead to permanent employment and it would allow you to test drive the job first. The employer will pay the fee at most positions.

They'll hire ANYBODY with professional experience in Calgary's red-hot economy. Except you might not be able to afford to live there, if you could find a place to live...
