I don't think the girl *should* be younger. It's a matter of personal preference and individual situations.
Personally, I've usually preferred older men. I have dated men both younger and older than I am in the past.
It depends on the individual situation.

who says? is it written where the female should be the youngest? it is known that men die faster than women. at an older age. so i would marry a man younger that way altthough i am smarter i have an advantage as well as the age factor. that goes to be if he is in good health. smarter meaning they say girls not only mature faster than boys, but are smarter. so you marry who you love , age is just a number when it is legal age:)

I believe it is about control and domination. It is rather foolish though.
Girls physically develop before boys so it would make sense for girls to go after older boys who are more mature physically than the boys in their age bracket.

I think it was way back when------. But most women out live their Husband. I see no good reason a woman shouldn't marry a man 5 years young.

well honestly i dont c why age matters... now if the dude is like 20 years older then thats kinda wrong.... and i dont c any thing wrong with the guy being younger then the girl as long as he can suport her and pertect her and be in the same area of maturity its all cool

i dont know i guess to even things out since they say women mature faster than men anyways but it doesnt matter to me my dad was younger than my mom by 6 years and they were married for 26 years

Well everyone's ages is how & when God put us to be on the earth than God will bring our ordained lifetime spouse to us like he did with Adam & Eve. Remember this marriage is what it is until death.

I am older than my hubby ---get em younger and train them up right!!! There is about 2 years difference in our ages!

Because men mature more slowly, so even if there is an age difference it is pry similar maturity levels...
