My PS2 logitech wireless controller simply doesn't work!?

In the middle of a game, the controller will just shut off on its own. I've checked all four AA batteries, and each one of their voltages was around 1.58 volts. I'm just wondering what I should do!

Return it and get another one would be the best place to start!!!!

Return it, get your money back or exchange. But yeah, logitech is the best, maybe just one out of the bunch, went bad. Sorry, dude it had to be yours, good luck.
