Could be anything. Raccoon and babies, bats, birds, possums (yes, possums, they can get in there if there is a tree close to the house) as with most animals. Best bet is to call Critter Control. Good luck!

its a monster created by the past owner of the house, who was a mad scientist , he used to have it live up there and fed it rats eyes and fish scales in an old creacky bucket. Hey don't you use that bucket for ice now??? lol

Right now it's my landlady vacuuming the hardwood floor in her living-room (my ceiling). Last winter in was a family of rats. (Thank God the exterminator was willing to work on Christmas Eve.)
