No, its not abnormal.
I had 3 pregnancies. At the end of each, everything was difficult, including, walking, seating, lying down, feet swollen. Each women has difficulties, but its varies from woman to woman.
Good luck!!!

What sort of "difficulty"? If its very painful and your joints/hips are hurting its worth checking with your doctor, you could have a condition called SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction). This can be very painful from what I've been told by sufferers.

I'm only 24 weeks and I find walking a lot pretty hard, I get very tired and out of breath. I think this is my fault as I am a trained dancer but haven't danced at all during my pregnancy - I was too laid up with morning sickness for the first 3 months and haven't got round to going back to classes. As a result I've got really unfit!

By the time you are 8 months pregnant you are going to be very heavy and find your balance is a bit "out" - you may waddle a bit and get out of breath. You have to remember you're carrying a baby around with you all the time!!!

If its really painful and troublesome though I'd see the doctor just to rule out anything serious.

It depends on what you call difficult. Because if you mean a little waddle, or some pressure while walking it is defiantly normal.
But, if you have difficult walking because your feet become VERY swollen, or if you are having sharp pain anywhere you should inform your Doctor right away. Because this could be caused by a more serious problem.

with my second child I was in a lot of pain down below and in my right hip. after the birth I was still in pain especially in my right hip. I made my self walk although I was in a lot of pain. before and after. It took a while but it did clear up. I have recently had my third child and I can't say that I was in such pain at all. Physically I recovered after my third child also almost immediately - I did loose feeling in my hands thow and manipulating things with this last pregnancy wasn't easy -ie- buttons etc. I kept dropping things all the time. Pleased to say that this has now cleared up.

It is totally normal. You're carrying about 25 extra lbs on your body right now. You have pressure on your back & lower extremities. Of course it's hard. Look at the bright side - you only have 4 more weeks 2 go & you'll have a precious gift that will make u forget all about your pain.

don't worry its completely normal because your joints are under a lot of strain from carrying the weight of the baby and towards the end your bones do become alot more supple in prep for the birth.
its a good idea to get plenty of rest before before birth and put feet up whenever you can

good luck

Well, let's see. Carryiing around a good 15-30+ pounds extra weight, has a baby's head lodged in her pelvis, putting strain on her ligaments & legs...

Oh yeah it's completely normal.

if the problem is in your pelvis you might have pelvis dysfunction which you might need crutches. If it is not i agree with the other questions i was just the same in my 3 pregnancies except for the last one when i had pelvis dysfunction i couldn't move without pain it's when the ligaments in your pelvis slips out due to all the extra hormones in your body.
