you can tell him with body language. a tap on the knee to get his attention, a friendly slap on his shoulder when he says something funny. lean into him and say something non sexy in his ear in large crowds. if you are worried he'd be grossed out, look at it this way. the sooner you know what a jerk he is, the sooner you find out you can move one to find someone else who will not be grossed out.

Do what I never do...tell him. I used to just keep it to myself, for fear of rejection. After nothing but rejection, one gets somewhat jaded.
