I am very pro Israel in this recent conflict, I feel any western democracy has/will behaved in the same manner against attacks on their people.

I justly defend all minority groups and like most of you will report racism on this site when I see it.

Someone posted an anti Jew website a moment ago and I hesitated .
I didn't really see it as racist to start with
Wrong, certainly, but not racist.
I really didn't think that I had double standards.

Every one is a little bit racist. It is just part of out nature to try and stereotype people who are not from our social group. Most people are reasonable enough to overcome this and be a bit more logical. Others just let the fear of the unknown other grow into hatred. It has been this way throughout history.

Not sure what your question is exactly. However I saw the question you're refering to and your answer on it.
Personally I think your answer to that (and subsequently this question) were both quite pragmatic and not with double standards.
As it happens, I come from a different point of view from you in regards to the conflict, however I feel as if I could have a discussion with you about our viewpoints and perhaps learn something from each other, whereas the other guy would be a it of a pain in the **** because shouting 'Jews are evil' repeatedly would get a bit boring after a while.

I think to some degree most people are racist. It becomes a problem when racists begin to incite rioting and hatred. We all have our little quirks in life that we do not care for and others that we are passionate about, but pushing our quirks off onto others is out of hand and, now, out of control worldwide.

I must profess that what little I've heard about the situation between Israel and Lebanon, I am siding with Israel. However, that does not mean that I am right nor will I begin condemning others for opposing my current views.

Slow down son! I have spent many years in the Middle East. It is a very complex situation. By going on one side or the other soes not mean to say you are racist. Access the situation as you see best and then make your mind up! This may not solve your problem but all I ask is that you think about it first!

Good question, I really dislike people been ignorant about others because of the country they are from or the colour of their skin, everyone has a right to an opinion no matter who they are, I wouldn't say I am racist but I am quiet 'Anti' about a lot of things I don't like, so were does that leave me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

America has been invaded by Mexico and their goverment encourages that as well as the wholesale export of cocaine to the US . Our govt has closed no fewer than two tunnels used to smuggle people and drugs into the US. We have not bombed anything in Mexico. I find your argument an apology for Israel rather than a question.

I am getting fed up with people who keep insisting that- Like yourself you support who you think is right .. so that makes you a racist... In that case we are all racist - yes ! even the superdouper non-racist Muslims who it seems the rest the human race is banned from criticizing.. are racist too - in fact - they openly say That Israel should be wiped off the face of the Earth - what does that make them ? ... nice people right ?!! cause we cant say booh ! to them. .So Yes I am a Racist - because someone out there will not agree with something I think is correct ...hope that made a wee bit of sense...

I am a bit confused by your question - you start off by asking if we are racist , but then you say that you have double standards - so are you accusing yourself of being racist?
You say that you support Israel in this recent confilcit, but I don't think they are in the minority - are they?
I find it hard to accept that they attack in the name of their religion.
I think that most of us have prejudices and are racist by nature, but if we have awareness of this, then that is a start, and we can begin to change. It does sound like an anti- Jewish website is a racist forum; but don't be too hard on yourself - it sounds like you wre trying to do the right thing.

Hope this helps and God Bless you:>)

sam, how about you worry about you and stop trying to police the entire world wide web??
the point to this site (you may have over looked it when you signed in) is to gather information from people all over the world and to see different opinions and points of view, not to come on in and report everyone that thinks differently to yourself. Now if you are that thin skinned that everything offends you and you feel the need to report everyone, then maybe this site is not for you?!?!?
