Klas and Frank were the only two that were close. It's very funny to hear all of these answers that aren't even in the ball park. OK, when you have a coil that's starting to fail, the car will run fine when it's cool. When the engine heats up, it will die (if it only has one coil..older vehicles), if it is the newer design, it will develop a miss....AFTER the engine warms up. Eventually, the engine will miss all of the time. You've only got about 1000 miles when it starts to fail before it totally shoots craps on you. Good luck. Hope this helped.

starts acting all funny and stuff. ide be real carefull.Without a computer to tell you which one is bad and since they mentioned you have only one bad, I will buy an ignition coil and begin replacing each coil until I get the defective one.

Or you can pay the dealer so that they can diagnose in their computer which coil is bad. I think somebody said it was $90.00 for a computer diagnosed printout from the MB dealer.

The first time I had a bad coil, they charged me $600.00 to change one coil. After I change my spark plugs on my old ML, I noticed that the coils are very easy to remove and replace so it's something you can do easily.

Just a thought which may not be the most practical one..

Stumble and hesitate: that's an indication of a possibility feul or carburation complications also song-up/timing difficulty might want to be indicated. I actually have had hesatation problems with an overheated engine yet you assert this isn't an difficulty, it really is magnificent with a leaky water pump. inspite of this i'd opt to operate that older, extreme milage Jags are A ROYAL discomfort in the RUMP! yet they constructive are somewhat! FYI: each and each of the coil does is replace the electric powered voltage and aperage transmitted to the sparkplugs so as that the electricity will bounce the hollow on your spark plugs...even as a coil is going undesirable it frequently merely stops operating and also you get no spark in any respect
