How tall are you? If you're 5'11, then, that's not bad at all; if you're 5 foot, that's a different story; have you always been overweight? I was for years and it turned out my thyroid was messed up! Have your parent(s) take you in for a check-up, full blood work and if all's well there, have your Doctor recommend a good diet for you! I find high protein, low fat, no bread, veggies always works! Plus have a candy bar or ice cream once a week to take the edge off!

IT'S A LOT BUT READ IT!!

exercise, drink more water, slow down on the junk food, or better yet, quit on the junk food. I mean it's ok to have "fatty foods" now and then, but never daily.

EXERCISES that are good are:
-jumping jacks (start with 30 a day, then increase)
-situps (start with 15 a day,,etc)
-push ups (start with 5 a day...)
-leglifts (start with 30 secs a day...increase to 2 min)
Incase you didn't know: leglifts:to do them: lay down on the floor with your feet together and your hands to your side and lift your head and legs up. Your legs should go about 6 inches off the floor for the best exercise. You can also put your hands under your thighs or butt while doing this--it helps!
-jump around in your backyard! Easily done and if you do it for a full minute everyday, your legs will be toned in no time!

EATING: i already said junk food is a NO. But you should always get 3-5 servings of veggies. I'm not too crazy about that so I drink V8. It taste delicious and a glass counts as a serving of vegetables! Actual vegetables are good too!! Fruit? 2-4 servings! I, love fruit, and I'm sure with all the available fruits, you'll or already have found some you love!! Meats. 2-3. You know how to get that stuff. Just don't coat it in sauces with tons of fat. Dairy. LOVE IT. 2-3 servings:milk, cheese, yogurt. If you don't do dairy, take a calcium pill. Calcium builds up that strength you need for all that exercising, so you need that! You can get calcium pills in the grocery store, my brother needs them all the time because he can't have dairy. ANNNNDD: alotta people think that if they skip breakfast, they'll lose those pounds faster. Wrong. Your body will collect the fat of you lunch or next meal because since you're not eating breakfast, your body can't know when it's gonna get that healthy fat next. So it collects the unhealthy, unessary fat. What I'm saying is that if you don't eat breakfast-you'll actually GAIN weight!!! (got that from my science teacher) So eat up!!

You also need sleep to lose weight believe it or not. I think you would already know, but if you don't have sleep, your body will break down and your exercising will go to waste. Seriously!

Good luck and I really hope this helps!!! <33

find some kind of exercise you like and TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER and go DO something. I'm not saying you can't be on the computer a little each day, but you also need to be active.

Try some dance classes, buy a yoga DVD, run, walk with a friend and gossip, rollerblade, swim, join a sports team. Try to get a friend or a sibling or your mom or dad to workout with you - it's easier to stay motivated.

You should also watch what you eat, but at 13, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just limit junk to a few times a week and try to eat lots of veggies and fruits.

btw, good for you for taking the first step and asking for suggestions!!

I don't know how often if ever you exercise, but if not, start trying to at least take a walk everyday. Eventually, you'll have more energy and will be able to walk or run further and longer. You may need to change your diet as well. Try everything in moderation. Try cutting out one thing, for example, soda. I don't know if you drink it or not but it packs on the pounds. If you drink one everyday, try only once a week. You could also try exchanging chips and sweets for fruits and vegeatables. I know it's difficult to lose weight, but find something that will help motivate you. You could find someone who's figure you admire, or find a friend to exercise with, diet with, and to give you encouragement and support. Good luck! :)

go to the gym every day for an hour. eat three meals a day with healthy snacks in between. eat vegetables and healthy things. don't count your calories because then you could have a eating disorder later on. for healthy snacks eat celery or carrots or maybe some fruit. for lunch eat a sandwich or a salad. if you do that you will see results quickly. just have a daily plan and you will lose weight in no time. you can also try the south beach diet or get a trainer.

What i say you should do is confront your parents about this subject. Ask them if they would start buying healthier foods; veggies, organics, etc. There is nothing wrong about being overweight as long as you are not having health problems. I would try my method before you get to that bridge. And as my college professor always said for no reason,"Eat untill your content not full!" Have fun.

Step away from the Krispy Kremes. Start an exercise program or get involved in a sport, and re-evaluate your dietary habits.
(Unless you are 7 ft tall, in which case your weight might be right)

Just try to eat healthy and exercise...whatever you do dont go on a "diet" or a crash diet..crash diets could be the worsst thing for you.... If eating good and exercising regularly doesnt help or if you cant stick to it..ask for help form your parents or a professional..
