I noticed a leak comming from my transmission. So I went to the store and bought some transmission leak sealer and conditioner. Does anyone thing I did anymore harm that good by putting that stuff in it?

Not really, it just swells the seals up a bit. Where's the leak coming from? It may be a flare on a cooling line that's cracked. When was the last time it had fluid and filter changed. Might be the pan gasket, a filter and fluid change would be an easy fix.

I think you did more harm than good. Sealants gum up the works and cause other problems. They might not fix the problem anyway. It could be as simple as a fitting that has come loose or a leaking transmission pan. When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid and filter. I'm betting never. It's always better to fix your car properly than use these "quick fix" items in a can that chances are will not fix the problem for long,if at all.

you would do better to buy aa filter/gasket set for the trans does not take long to do make sure you clean the pan and remember you will need to relace aout 1/3 of the fluid shoul be able to do the job in wellunder an hour

best bet would have been to have the gasket changed and if it continued have the output shaft seal replaced. the additives available in the auto parts places are for older tansmissions and can only be considered as stopgap measures and nothing else.
