having problem with the books stores in town. I'll order something from them and they will mess the order up. I can't order online because I don't have a credit card and the books store won't let me use a gift card online. basically I would like to pay for a book in advance and not have to go through the hassle of wondering how much money to bring because the book store ether can't find the books until the last minute or books disappear from the shelve until I show up next week. what do I do.

Barnes and Noble has a wide seletcion. What they don't have they can (and will) order for you with no money down. They'll hold the book for you,but if you don't pick it up after a certain amount of time they'll either sell it or send it back.

get a friend with a credit card or a car to bring you to a book store where they're competent. Or go to a library. I think you can actually buy books there but not sure.

I'd buy a Visa gift card, which is accepted anywhere Visa is.
