Yes. I've had dreams which predicted something that actually happened, also. That's why I believe that deja vu is not just an imaginary feeling that you have done that before.... it is the memory of a dream that you had where that exact event happened. It's just happened to me too many times, to think otherwise. Sometimes, I even remember TELLING about the dream, and then the event will happen later. Usually it's not the next day, though. It may be a few years later, even.

I once had a precognitive dream myself. I saw a picture of Superman with an outline and question mark where he would have been in the picture. A narrator said "Superman is now a mystery man," and then listed off descriptions similar to the four supermen. The next day, I read that Superman had (or was going to) die and read about the supermen that would replace him for a while, and the article it had almost the exact same picture.

I highly doubt that it was something I could have ever guessed, especially since I didn't read the comic at the time.

Carl Jung wrote about a concept he called synchronicity: meaningful coincidences. The core idea was the same as in astrology: As above, so below. Generally, an event will happen above (in the mind) before happening below (in physical reality). Neither caused the other; they were connected by their meaningfulness to you. I think my dream was meant to keep me open to non-scientific explanations, since I am naturally a skeptic.

The feeling of Deja Vu can be explained scientifically in some instances. The mind is always taking in information, at an alarming rate. But, the conscious doesn't always process the information.

So, for example, you are walking down the hall at school. Your eyes are taking in information (let's say one of the things you see is a guy you happen to like walking towards you). You are also thinking heavily about the test you need to go and take down the hallway. Your eyes take in and your mind processes dozens of people walking past you, the lockers, the Exit sign, blah blah blah. Now, you look up and you see that guy you happen to like. This time, you actually bring that information into your conscious thought. You see him walking with his blue backpack, his hair spiked in a new way, his jeans with the hole in the knee - he's walking just under the Exit sign by the main hallway. Your brain immediately pairs this information up with a memory of nearly the same image from, well, just about 5 seconds ago! You didn't bring the image from 5 seconds ago into your conscious thought because you were worried about the algebra test you need to go take, but that doesn't mean that you didn't create a memory of the image of your favoite dude. You walk past him. He smiles. You think to yourself "OMG - this is like Deja Vu, I remember this exact scenario!"

Now, what you are describing is NOT deja vu, since you believe your dream predicted your future actions (a premonition of sorts). This, too, can be explained, in a similar (but different) way if you think about how your brain processes information and brings important details together. It is possible that your "premonintion" is really just a VERY good guess of what was going to happen based on a bunch of information that you had stored in your brain but you did not organize in your conscious thought. Dreams have been defined as periods of time when our brains are attempting to make sense of all the individual pieces of data that we have floating around in our memory. It's possible that your brain was just doing a very good job of making sense of data and processing current details that, had you had the ability to organize the information well enough, you might have been able to make the same prediction, yourself, in your waking state.

Just food for thought.

It can be explained many ways (premonition, God, etc.) One I ascribe to is that our mind is very in tune to consequence. You had a dream about future events, because subconsiously you had already connected the dots from past choices to future consequence. Dreaming about it let your mind work out how you were going to react beforehand so you'd be caught less off gaurd......... Like practicing for an arguement before you have it so you win with better reasons.

Do you mean you had a dream and the next day what you dreamed actually happened? That seems like a premonition. I used to get dreams like that all the time.

I would say you just had ESP or some other form of mental telepathy. All of us can do it by practice or accident. It happens to everyone a couple of times in their life so live on. Don't worry about small stuff like this, unless of course, you want to practice until you are great at it. Best Wishes! :D

It is possible in two diffrent situation:
1. you are very worried about a certain subject which reflect in your dreams more than once and maybe in different forms.
2. this dream has a certain meaning or message(could be from your inner mind) for you to understand.

DeJaVu happens nearly every day to me, yet it still freaks me out. You are just intune to what is going on, it happens to everyone. Some more than other, some can controll what they see and use this to help/hurt people. But Yes this could be dejavu!
