hmmmmmmmm, i guess any fast food place would be a good job for a teen, anywhere like McDonald's and In-N-Out since there are many teens working there. any jobs in the mall would be a good idea too. oh i know!! you could work at Baskin Robbins and give me free ice cream!! lol =)

College student is pretty good.
No really, even if you go to a Tech school, when you finish you will be old enough for a job plus you will have some training. That way you will be more apt to get hired. and possible at a better wage.
I understand it's hard if you are just starting out on your own and really need money to survive. But just remember literally 100.000s of people have done it. And if you think that's hard, wait till you see how hard life can be without some kind of education and or training.
The longer you put it off the harder it gets to find the time. You don't know me from Adam but I wish you would trust me on this.
I have absolutely no reason to lie to you about this.

If you are still in school, you might think alone th elines of buying a good riding lawn mower. That's one of the easiest businesses for a teen to break into today and it doesn't take much if you have a truck or trailor and money to get started.
Construction work (especially in the summer ) is always an option and it's good hard work in which you could learn soemthing that will benefit you for the rest of your life.
I knew a doctor who worked construction to put himself though college and learned about every aspect of the home building trade and built his first house himself saving over 100 grand.
Unless being a millionaire is your major a few years part time in the construction industry would enable you to save thousands over your life time on your own home.

If you can handle the hours, retail is a good starting job--you can start building a resume of reliability. Movie theatres seem to need help, fast food is always looking.

One key is to do whatever job you get--even menial labor--to your fullest ability. That tells employers that you have a work ethic.

Determine what your goal is: money, resume building, particular experience.

Don't be afraid to start at the bottom--it's a great motivator to stay in school and finish as much education as you can get!

It depends on your likes and interests. If you plan to go to college and things that interest you.

But I think if you are close to "Home Depot" "Trader Joes" So many things to choose from

Just a little information, The owner of Marriott Corporation started as a bus boy in a restaurant!!!! There is nothing to stop you from going to the top. Have faith in yourself and be all you can be!!!!!!

And a voice from experience, get all the education that you can get. Whether it is College or on the job, we are never too old to learn!!! Best Wishes for a great future!!!!!

Fast food sucks, but you might want to check at car dealerships. They need lot jockeys, and sometimes hire 17 year olds with clean driving records. If you like cars, or want an inside line on buying one (used) this is a good pick.

Other choices: movie theater (get in free), restaraunt (if they split tips there's a lot of chances there), lifeguarding (gotta be certified), or working at stadium (free sports).

Good luck!

(Sit down) Resturant, fast food, grocery store, department store, mall, gas station...

You really just need to keep your eyes peeled. Look through the classified ads in your local newspaper. If you have a job in mind, that you would really like to do, but aren't sure if they'll allow.. call them. It never hurts to persue something that you just might enjoy. A lot of times, places will give jobs to teens if they are responsible and interested. Good luck!

I was a bank teller when I was 17. It came with the usual challenges of customer service, but it paid very well. It was my first job ever, so you can get it without experience. Good luck.

What are your primary goals right now? Figure out what your goals are, make a plan on how to achieve them, and then go out and FIGHT for a job that gets you there.

Money
Experience
Personal Gratification
Security

It may be that slinging crap pays for college faster than an internship, or an internship that doesn't pay crap gives you a career! Plan, set goals, and get out there and do it!!!
