---i did google it and this is what i got--

Baby Back Ribs - The Chili's Theme Song
Recorded June 1997

I think Dave and I were just sitting around one day, singing the "baby back ribs" song from the Chili's ad, and decided to record it. Dave recorded the bass line, then I recorded the melody and harmony lines. We called up Greg, about an hour away in Needham, Mass., to get him to sing the "barbecue sauce" part. Really an amazing triumph of technology -- the headphones were up against the phone's mouthpiece, blaring out the first three tracks; the microphone was jammed up against the earpiece, capturing the sweet crooning of one Mr. G. Foxman, and the 4-track immortalized it for all time.

"The song was written by Guy Bommarito and produced by Tom Faulkner for GSD&M Advertising of Austin, Texas. Subsequent versions of the popular commercial and its catchy jingle have included *NSYNC, Evander Holyfield, and Dominique Dawes. The jingle was quoted (and perverted) by the character Fat Bastard (Mike Myers) in the movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. It has also been sung on the sitcoms Will & Grace, The War at Home, The Office, and Scrubs."

...can you say....google?

Just kidding. I thought maybe they actually wrote that "I want my baby back baby back baby back" song for the commercials. Not that I ever gave it much thought.
