Why do they call them apartments when they build them so close together?

Why do we drive on a parkway, and park on a driveway.

Same reason that...when you send something by car, it's called a "shipment"...but when you send it by ship, it's called "cargo".

If it weren't for Steve Wright, some of these folks in here would have nothing to say.
