That's your opinion. Why is it everyone always picks on the biggest person/company?

Anyway, I'd rather get that sweater for $2 than go to whatever the "in" brand is and buy the same thing for $100 more. Outsourcing jobs isn't illegal, in fact, for business, it's the smart thing to do. Lower your costs and sell more, earning more profit. I think everyone would do the same given the chance.

And to whoever said Walmart is nastier/dirtier, you must not be very bright. In my town, there are two Walmarts, one is superb, the other is a little dingy in comparison. Our target is nice too. The Food Lion isn't though, but the Food Lion 30 minutes aways is awesome. It's all on how old the building is and how kept up it is. This joker's going to judge a huge coproration like Wal-Mart all because of his one store.

What a turd.

I do shop Wal-Mart but watch what I buy. They also don't always have the best price and you have to watch out, for their cash register computers don't always have the correct prices. The large size package may actually be more money per pound than a small package, most stores it is the other way around. I try real hard to keep away from Chinese item, but have to admit I collect Chinese cash coins, the medieval and ancient types. The quality of Chinese products are really not very good. Some items are no longer made in this country so I must buy Japanese or Korean.

God bless you. I've lived in Florida and upstate NY and seen it happen in both areas. Dozens of Mom and Pop's making a decent living than having to sell or file bankruptcy. At first the store opens with an abundance of customer service employee's than as the other have to close their doors the available customer service at the walmart shrinks to nil. No more Sam the butcher now it's Sam Walmart for even a haircut in some cases. One day they will own Home Depot and Lowes who are also guilty of such monopolization. Only to supply minimum wage job's while the employee's still have to collect food stamps. And your right forget the out sourcing please don't get me started. It's all just a huge indignant sign of a one world economy and a new world order where the rich get richer and the poor stay poor.

I love walmart. Cheap stuff that I need. Don't ever remember losing my job to China. I'm sure I would have remembered that... What's wrong with a sweater that costs $2? Would you rather pay $36 for the same sweater? I don't really look good in sweaters though, I choose the $2 sweatshirt. But really who is gonna buy a $2 sweatshirt, right I AM!

It's a global economy and I'm a material girl... errrr boy, definately a boy, I mean I'm a grown man...

it's all about Costco:) some people are frugal, love to hunt for bargains & buy things that they don't necessarily need but get some sort of sick high when they've found a good deal.that's why there are so many 99 cents store chains.it's a big market.cheap labor equals more profits.quick, someone open a 79 cents store and try to steal their customer base;)

The democrats support walmart too. That store is loaded, and the parking lot is filled with SUV's, just waiting to be loaded with more crap made in china. Then they can go home and complain about the gas prices, and loss of jobs. Walmart reminds me of the old Tennessee Ernie Ford song - I owe my soul to the company store.
I don't shop there either.

Unfortunately, behind the scenes of almost all retail superstores are the same way. The same china-man who put the 4 stripes on the shoes sold at Walmart, in most cases will also put the three stripes on the Adidas sold at Foot Locker. However... I do hate shopping at Walmart.. I prefer Target any day!

Walmart blows chunks. My wife and I avoid it at all costs. Every employee they have is disgruntled, they treat everyone like dirt (including the customers) and the stores are freaking nasty and never neat.

We prefer Target. Costs a bit more, but everyone is happy and friendly and we don't have to worry about being murdered outside of a Target as much as a Walmart.

I try to avoid them but on rare occasions stop in because they're closer to my house. Consolidation for better pricing power is what capitalism is all about. Walmart is an example of what happens when capitalism meets pure greed and makes everything about the bottom dollar; the owners are amongst the richest people in the world and their workers can't even get a working wage.

I don't go anywhere near Wal-mart, it's them and others like them that are directly responsible for the decline in the American middle class. The Waltons together make Bill Gates look like just a second rate billionaire and paying their employees a descent wage is so abhorrent an idea they'd rather close a store than allow people to unionize. I believe that every store should start a unionizing campaign just to see what they would do, would they close all the stores? who knows.
