before you start shouting at me saying , would you like your surgeon to be stoned before operating , or would you like your pilot to be stoned be setting off , well obviosly not , but i wouldnt like them to be drunk either , and thats legal , of corse they should be some regulations to it as there is to alcohol .
think of a saturday night down the pub , the drunken fights and agro . what can you say about the stoners , exactly not alot , because they draw alot less attention to them selves n cause less trouble then those drunks down town ,
some say they are a gateway to harder drugs , but in fact the gateway to harder drugs is having to go to dealers that will push harder drugs on easily led youngsters , legalizing it would move it away from harder drugs , your local corner shop isnt going to ask if you like a bag of heroin to go with that are they , if it was legal the government could tax it , they could save money on sending poor stoners who really hurt anyone to jail ,

Yes I agree, I do think it should be legalised. It may only be a gateway to illegal drugs because it is exactly that an illegal drug. I bet if alcohol was illegal you would get the same shifty types selling it. If it were legal and regulated by the gov then it would also be safer as you could be sure of its origins and ingredients unlike from a dealer. The police should go and catch some real criminals, they shouldn't have the right to tell me I can't smoke weed because they cant make their minds up about it.

No, but consider the fact that in the fifties when nearly everyone smoked cigarettes, a boy would start on Woodbine's which were the cheapest. Later when money became available usually from delivering newspapers he would graduate to Capstain full strength.
Now it is drugs, and any reformed addict will tell you they first started with cannabis. If drugs were legalised the problems caused by taking them would still remain so that is not the issue.
What is the purpose of taking them when they effect your health?

No it shouldn't be legalised because smoking drugs like drinking alcohol impairs your judgement (and your ability to use spell checker) , but what would you know you obviously you don't have half dozen stone heads living next-door to you, lighting up outside your house every night and kicking footballs of your car and setting the alarm of at three in the morning Cu's there so stoned and pissed up all the time nobody will give them a job so they have nothing better to do

Whooooo - What a rant! That's worthy of me. I would argue that the braincells that it kills have had a detrimental effect on your spelling. However, in all seriousness, I think that all "recreational" drugs should be legalised as most of them are less damaging than alcohol. I mean, who in their right mind gets stoned or pilled-up then starts a fight or trashes a phone box?

I am living proof that weed is not a gateway drug. I smoked alot of it in my day and I am a college graduate as well as a business owner. It's no more a gateway drug than alcohol is.
I say legalize it already.

Yeah, course it should. It's no big deal (no pun intended) and, like you said, causes less agro than the booze-fueled headcases who don't know their limits (or maybe do and just sink as much falling down water as they can to reach a stage of oblivion so they "can't be held responsible for their actions"). B*llocks to that! Having said all that, moderation is key, you don't want to spoil the goods & the moods 24/7.

You been smoking you misspelled a word. No it only leads to harder drugs cuz the body craves a stronger drug when it gets immune to cannabis. My ex smoked so much he could hardly walk. So it is a drug as is alcohol and one is no better than the another.

Yes and then kids would get more bored of it than they would if it wasn't legal. The wrong that is associated with it is because of the attitudes and illegality. It really is not very useful to a person.

No. It is harmful to health. Substances in it cling to your nerve fibres and cause similar symptoms to multiple sclerosis.
It is becoming accepted that susceptible individuals will develop schizoid behaviour and other mental illness.
Why do you think it is called "dope"!!
Poor stoners my ar@e.

It depends on the situation.(By the way, legalized is spelled with an "e", not an "a"). Marijuana should not be used for recreational use, however, if marijuana is used for medicinal purposes such as treating a glaucoma patient, then it should be legalized just for medicinal purposes, not recreation purposes.
