I'm moving near SFSU to go to school. I don't know what kinds of clothes to bring.. should I bother bringing my flip-flops even? How typically cold is it going to get it? Could I get away with wearing some sweat pants and flip-flops or no? Thanks!

I lived in the junior/senior apartments on campus. I would suggest sweatshirts and jeans with comfy shoes. Flip flops are o.k. to walk to class, etc. but you need shoes that you could do a lot of walking in especially in San Francisco. Bring some nice club clothes and weat a lot of black. Don't wear too much color like you would wear in la or miami.

Even though we're having an unusually warm summer, it does get quite cold around State when the fog comes in. Bring layers. If you're comfy in sweat pants and flip flips, go ahead and bring them.

The weather varies greatly, but typically, cold mornings clear afternoons and cold nights. I wear flip flops all the time. You just never know here. The fog and wind gets into your bones.

You are pretty much going to dress in layers...It will be cool/cold in the morning but warm up a bit after. Flip flops ok...but it's a bit late in summer for them

you would probably wear some layers and it does get cold in the winter time, it ranges from 40-55 in the winter and it does rain in the winter pretty much, i wouldn't really bring flip flops, you could, if you want, san francisco's weather has fog, rain, sun, and it does get windy from time to time, good luck in sf.
