Try this for 2 - 3 weeks. Exercise (try walking 2 or more miles when you first get up, and walk them slightly faster than it is usually confortable to walk; exert yourself). Eat plain yoghurt, and lots of vegetables for a week. You can add protein, but most of your diet (approximately 75%) should be fresh vegetables. Stay away from juices, fats, fried foods, fast foods, sweets of any kind, starches. Drink lots of water to help flush from your system.
Don't do anything crazy. you won't lose all that much weight at first, maybe 5 lbs if your lucky. And each week after that, maybe no more than 2 lbs. That's normal, and the healthy way to lose weight. When you've lost the ten lbs. maintain your weight by lots of exercise, eating the right foods and keeping a positive attitude. Don't go for fads or anything stupid or dangerous. After 2 or 3 weeks, resume some of your regular diet, eat moderately and choose your foods wisely. No fads.

No, it wouldn't be healthy for you,
But for starting, you could walk everyday for 15-30 minutes and eat more veggies and fruits. No pizza's, no fast food places or restaurants, absolutely no Soda pop - that right their causes you to gain weight and much of it.

Drink lots of water, this will flush your system out. Also drink fruit juice, grape, apple, and prune juice. They will flush your system out and this wil drop up to 10 lbs water weight alone. Try to avoid raw fruits and vegetables, because these will bloat your up.

eat only when your hungry and then only wholesome foods like fruit and vegetables and lean meat like turkey or chicken breast. dont eat anything fried or drink soda. most important get a good SWEAT going. I recommend running or dancing or aerobics.

10 pounds isn't much.
Maybe you should be more concerned about getting an education before going to school rather than how you look.
