like what makes you different from a bed

Because those of us that were born to look and act like a bed ended up not attracting the opposite sex, and had no bed-like children. Bed genes therefore go the way of the Do-Do.
Now, is there some way we can artificially select humans to make them more like beds? Now THAT is great idea!! We could then buy bed-people from the store, and sleep on them. Patent office, here I come...
