I'm not a Yankees fan, but I think they will win their division over the Red Sox this year. The huge payroll will pay off this year to get the Yankees in the playoffs and probably past at least their first playoff series. I think Detroit will be the AL champ this year unless the White Sox turn it on late in the season. The Red Sox will probably not make the playoffs this year at all.

Been a Yankees fan since the early 70s. This is THE series to watch all season. The banged up Redsox are going to play with everything they have and if the Yankees don't do the same they don't deserve to win the division. This series will likely decide who wins the AL East, the loser will probably not even make the playoffs.

The Yankees are definently going to sweep the Red Sux this weekend!! GO YANKEES!!!!! People who are saying the Yankees suck must be drunk! The Yankees are 9 trillion times better then the Red Sux!!!! F*** Ortiz, Manny, Crisp, Loretta and all those other dumb heads on the Red Sux (including thier coaches, GM and owner!!!)

I've been a Yankee fan all of my life and I love these games between the Yankees and Boston. It doesn't get any better then this.
I'm hoping the Yankees will pull out the broom and take care of business.

the red sox have one championship and a whole lifetime, or should i say five lifetimes of pathetic post season crumbles and now they have heart? you must be five years old... also the redsox have about the same payroll.. its not about payroll the winners of the last five championships didnt have the largest payroll..also before arod the yankees never had one position player who had the highest salary in that position so we didnt set the bar, the rest of the league did. when they won their four rings the team was built on trades and farm system look it up...next year the redsox fans will be wearing new hats with different logos on them...
