my brother was in a car accident and the people offered him only 2 thousand but he has a scar in his face and the bones in his spine or neck have shifted due to this.

Judge can award as little as $1. These types of judgments are when the judge finds (in a civil case) for the plaintiff, but basically feels the case is with little merit and/or frivolous.

The minimum is zero. If he is not happy with the amount offered he could try to negotiate a higher amount, or he could seek the advice of a lawyer. He should seek the advice of a lawyer.

it all depends on the insurance laws in the state you live in-my advise call a personal injury lawyer in your state who offer free consult and ask them....I received $15,000 for an accident that left me with a scar on my face...but I'm female. call a lawyer

It's rather hard to win auto accident cases. Courts are inclined to rule no-fault in the absense of clear evidence.

as others said, get a lawyer. They will work on contingency, that is only get paid if you win, and they get a percentage, (usually around 30% of the settlement).

Get a personal injury lawyer, they will ask for a heck of a lot more than $2,000.

I had a similar situation and my lawyer asked for $22,000.
