Way back in 1815 the famous poet, Lord Byron, and his wife had a daughter, Ada. She later became the first "computer programmer".
Ada was very good at boolean arithmatic, her mother was a mathematician.
She later went on to work with Charles Babbage who built the first "computer", a mechanical contraption he called "The Difference Engine".
One day the "computer" jammed up. Ada found the cause to be a dead moth that was stuck in some of the gears.
She said to Charles, "the computer won't work because there is a bug in it".
So we get the word "bug" being used today to mean "something is wrong with the computer or software".
SO... a bug is a problem in the computer or software.
Later on, some idiot wrote a program that was designed to replicate itself (copy itself) from one computer to another. He did it mainly for fun. But of course by the time the thing had copied from one system to another it caused problems. It behaved like a virus, breeding from one thing to another and causing problems.
SO.. a virus is a program that was written to copy itself and always causes problems, even when not really meant to. (or if it is meant to)
I.E. has many "bugs", many errors and problems in the code. This is simply because it is very complex and complexity breeds errors and problems.
Windows is FULL of bugs.
A virus is introduced into Windows via an email, a floppy disk, or some other means.
Worms are similar except they creep around inside networks. Worms do not neccessarily breed like a virus, but many do copy themselves and cause havoc.
Best thing is to do a FRESH WINDOWS JOB
That is to say, save your data, format your hard disks, reinstall Windows and all the other rubbish we all need to work with our computers, put your data back and there you are.
In fact, no matter where you go, there you are.
Good luck.

the bug is worse than the virus
if u have an updated anti viruse program then there is no problem and viruses can't harm u
but the bug on the other hand is an error in the program code
that may allow a hacker to pentarte ur PC without ur notice and the anti virus programs can't do any thing about it
note: most IE bugs is not dangerous, it only allow some spyware and ads that's all

a "bug" = something *wrong* with a program, but usually it won't kill your computer. for example, in IE, say you click on the "home" button and nothing happens. that might be a bug.
a "virus" = a *different program* that someone created to mess up your computer. a virus could *take advantage* of a bug, but they're really different things.
now a virus by itself is more dangerous than a bug by itself - but most viruses, again, take advantage of bugs.

A bug is just somthing that when programmers create a program, it has little glitches in it that they need to work out. A virus is a program that is actuallly created to do harm to a computer's files or even it's hardware.

A bug is just a programming error.
virus: a software program capable of reproducing itself and usually capable of causing great harm to files or other programs on the same computer; "a true virus cannot spread to another computer without human assistance"
A bug in a software program can leave a computer vulnerable to infection by malware, viruses, trojans, and worms.

Yes, they will both eventually destroy your computer. Do not open email attachments from addresses you do not know, and do not download from "weird" websites. Also do not play internet games, because they automatically download spyware which will also destroy your pc.
