Accounting applies basic mathematics and employs great analysis. If you love being in accounting, everything is fun, from recording to the presentation. Deadlines depends on what kind of report you are going to prepare.. if its for internal use, most businesses prefers interim reporting which must be completed a week after the cut-off date of the said period. But if its for external use like the internal revenue, it is prepared annually. Tax accounting is more on compliance... you must be very aware of the due dates for filing several returns to avoid penalties or surcharges. Being an accounting associate graduate is highly appreciated in the accounting/treasury department.

I have been an accounts payable clerk for a while. I am quitting and going to work somewhere else next week. Accounts payable is BORING. It's the same thing, day in day out. You have to code and enter the invoices in an accounting software program so that they can be paid. It's not difficult, but it's very boring. I do not have an associates degree in accounting. My degree is in computers. The math is basically adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplication. Basic stuff and you always use a calculator.
