Does anyone know how to mess up converses fast?

I've been trying to mess them up, stabbing them, but they own't work.

I dot' want a new pair, i just want ugly looking shoes.

use sandpaper, that's what we used to in the '80's to make our jeans look messed up. gosh I feel old now . . .

you want the rugged chucks look? try washing alot...it'll fade the color....if it's going to slow, get a big eraser and rub it all over the shoe. if you want some marks to make it look dirty, use a brown marker and mark some places on the shoe, like around the white parts. then rub it in a little with your finger to make it look real. if that's not good enough, put em on, go outside and run around in some mud, water and grass :) good luck!

Whip out some sandpaper for the fabric, and rub the sides of the sole against your car tires to get a scuffed look.

First soak them and let them sit out in the sun for about two days to fade em a bit. then basicly attack them with sand paper. take the laces out and give them to a dog. Draw on them.throw them at the ground really really hard, have your parents or someone drive over them repeatedly.

Drag your feet when you walk! or let them get wet and wear them until they stink like hell-your parents will have no choice but to get you a new pair!

After you stab them, wash them several times. It works best if you cut them with very sharp cuticle scissors first, they fray better. Good luck.

put 'em on and walk through the streets of new york. that should do it.. worked for me. in fact, didn't they come out with new converses that look all torn and worn? or maybe it's aldo.
