Like artist, soundtracks... something not too loud. I'm not a music expert, but something that has consistant sounds to it so it won't distract me while working on school work?

Thanks in advance

I recently bought a 2-disc set at Wal-Mart called Classical Relaxation. It's got Bach and Beethoven and Handel, and all sorts of other classical artists. It's nice to listen to, and there are no words so they don't distract me.

I would also suggest ocean sounds or Celtic music.

There is a specific kind of classical music called Baroque music (Mozart I believe is an example, and CDs of Baroque music can be found at Amazon.com -- not that you have to buy them there, but that can give you an idea of what to look for). Baroque music is perfect for studying...researchers say that the rhythm of Baroque music matches the rhythm of brainwaves, and studies have shown that people who study while listening to Baroque music learn faster and retain the information better. Hope this helps.
