or approx. if your not 14

That depends entirely on the 14 yr old in question and their family. I received a generous allowance, and I saved a lot of my money. I would say at 14 that I possessed a couple thousand dollars. Others of my friends received money as allowance or payment for chores and odd jobs. Some of them had anywhere from their current week's allowance to hundreds or a few thousand dollars. If you are willing to work for family or neighbors, or if you parents will permit you to get a job, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to save a sum for yourself.

None. Any money held by a minor legally belongs to the parents.
