sometimes now they use wireless. but many jumpers and runners managed to get along with the wires attached (townshend, angus, etc)

Usually the cords are run to Pedal Boards or Rack Systems.
These systems will have tuners and effects built into them.
Effects like Phaser, Distortion, Flanger.
Run your guitar cord into the pedals then run a cord from the pedals to the amp head.
This way the cable will not be running behind of you to trip on , and you can see where it is.
Then you can Jump your brains out.

You can also try wrapping your cord through your strap so it won't get in the way. Hard to explain what I mean, though.

if they can afford it they go wireless. . usu just the reg guitars, tho'. . not the basses . .
