I want to get tatoo on my ankle, does anyone have one & does it really hurt? Also, im 17, do i have to be 18 to get one or i could i get it if my parents come with me??

I think its cooler now-a-days to NOT have a Tattoo... in hindsight, I wish I didn't have any of mine.
I have two ankle Tattoos, one on the inner left ankle and one on the outer right ankle.
The outer ankle one hurt more when it was healing... it seems everything rubbed it.
Whether or not it hurts depends on your pain threshold. My Tattoo artist told me he's had (big tough looking) men CRY in pain while getting tattoos and from me he didn't hear a peep.
I think you have to be 18, depending on where you live.

I have a ankle tattoo. Theyre not that bad any tattoo arent going to feel good but theyre worth it. In my state your parents cannot sign for you you have to be 18 but i dont know about other states. If it makes you feel any better the tattoo on my lower back hurt worse than my ankle. I have one on my ankle lower back and shoulder. Good luck!

Yes it will hurt. The bigger it is, the longer it will hurt.
That said, the hurt will only be temporary, and when that stops, you'll still have the tattoo.
Most places nowadays will not allow anyone under 18 regardless of if a parent signs for them or even shows up. There may be exceptions, but they're getting less common.

Yeah, I have one on my inner ankle. It hurt really bad, Im not going to lie. I have 2 others and this one hurt the worst. Im pretty sure you have to be 18 depending on which state you live in.

Your parents can sign for you to get one, but I wouldnt advise it. I have a cross on the outside of my left ankle...and let me tell you...it hurts like fire cause the bone is right there at the surface. Not to mention you bleed like a stuck hog! Good Luck!

The closer to the bone it is the more it hurts; there's not much cushion on the ankle. But it's really not that bad. I don't know what state you are in so I don't know the age of consent.

I hear it hurts because there is just skin there - I think you have to be 18 unless your parents are there - but take the time to think about it - when I was your age - I wanted one bad - never got one didn't find one I liked - now I am soooooo happy to NOT have one! Something to think about - it will be with you FOREVER!!!!!
