Differences between USA and Canada
USA used inches while Canada uses centimetres.
USA spells "center" while Canada spells "centre".
Furthermore, Canada has more British influence than the USA because Canada did not become independent of Great Britian until 1867, while USA became independent in 1776. Canada was part of the British Empire for a while so it will have more British influences from the way words are spelled and to the measurements used. Weather is also a factor. Canada did have some slaves but slavery was outlawed because it would be useless in the cold climate, where a cash crop like cotton, or sugar cane is unable to grow.In the USA, particularly the South, slavery was the norm because crops like cotton could grow there and slaves were used to pick that cotton. Because Canada outlawed slvary earlier then the USA, African-American slaves often escaped and went to Canada. Canada was also colonized by the French, hence why the province of Quebec is primarily French-speaking.
The USA has developed its own culture through a longer time of independence and the fact that the USA was not influenced by Britain or by other superpowers. We were not a big superpower(until the 20th century) and we were not dominated by a superpower, so we devolped our own culture in a way that was our own. This is why the English spoken in the USA differs from region to region and even though places like Lousiana and Texas were colonized by France and Spain, both primarily speak English. There is a bi-lingual influence but the primary language is English.

10 Differences Between USA and Canada:
1. More white people in Canada
2. In Canadian porn movies, the women usually keep their clothes on (cold weather and such)
3. Had Quebec been a state in the US, it would have been bombed by now.
4. Bubble packages are in French and English in Canada.
5. Most Canadians are discreet in that they say obnoxious things about you behind closed doors at home; Americans say obnoxious things right in your face.
6. Canadians talk like that have bread in their mouth. Americans speak nasally.
7. Canada has Skinny Puppy; the US has Snoop Doggy
8. Canadians move to the US to make money; Americans go to Canada to buy things cheaper.
9. Canadians are proud of 25% tax rates; any tax in the US is frowned upon (except by extreme Liberals)
10. Mens Public restrooms in any place in Canada looks like a toxic hazard zone (I'm afraid to even peek into a Women's Restroom in Canada); Some public restrooms in the US are actually clean but either way, at least they use toilet seat covers. In Canada, a toilet seat cover is considered a luxury.
A bonus difference between Canadians and Americans:
Canadians are only rude when they know they are not accountable for what they said (or wrote). Americans are smart enough to realize that accountability is a very "bendable" word if they have a good lawyer.

Not much anymore.
Their crime rate is growing. Crime involving firearms are on the rise.
Their health care may be free but it isn't all that good (from my brother in Abbotsford, BC)
The reason they aren't all sue happy is about to be moot also when their lawyers will be allowed to work on contingency instead of needing to be paid upfront.
The have a crappy mail system.
Been involved in other countries wars just as the U.S. has.
They are a very conservative country as is the U.S.
Many dislike the U.S. but they love the U.S's money, higher education, hospital with up to date and state-of-the-art equipment, and that fact that by those U.S. warmongers being where they are, Canada is safe by geographical association.
There are other differences and similarities.
The U.S. Armed Forces are the fifth largest army in the world.

USA is one of the worlds biggest violators of international human rights laws and also violates US military law, with our policies and patriot act actions and handling of detainees, and the execution of foriegn nationals after forcing them to sign english written confessions and providing no translator for their english trials and informing them of their rights just before they are executed, and also has more military bases than the world has countries and all the military forces of the world combined would be greatly outnumbered by the one USA military, might is right so the USA is right and superior and Canada is lucky that today our fears and hatred are being manipulated at the expense of the middle east in the name of glory, god, national security and empire, but after we are done there and in latin america, canada may one day be tomorrows terrorist nation that we must destroy ,occupy and sell bit by bit to the highest bidder
