I agree with you 100%.
I think the people who are afraid of this kind of stuff generally have something to hide or are scared of getting caught doing something illegal...
People act like this is some kind of implanted tracking device that will monitor your every move no matter where you go... Relax, it's just a freakin card people.. No different than your state-issued driver's license...

I agree with your points.
However there are some people who see this as an afront on our right to privacy.
I would not only support a national ID card, but I would also support the idea of a cash free society where all financial transactions are done with a credit/debit card. I'm of the opinion that any loss of privacy is insignificant compared to the potential benefits. Besides we can always promulgate laws that would prevent these things from destroying our privacy.

Yes. I believe so. It would help cut down on illigal immigration. It would also make the US a more secure place, with it being easier to to checks for terrorism. Also, it would make it more difficult to make fradulent ID's. So in many ways this can help the US.

That the state license from whatever state you are in is a national Id. No other countries have state Id's like we do. All we would have to do is add information as you described like finger printing, but if fakes are as easy to obtain as they are now, wouldn't it be easier for people to fake there citizenship in this country?

Sounds nice, but who's gonna pay for it? The current administration has us so deeply in dept, we don't have the luxury of spending billions to fund and support this program.

I think so, your country is so corrupt I can't think of anything else to control all the theft and deception that is going on there.
