No, most certainly not. There is no happiness in the sunlight. Sunlight emanates from violent atomic explosions in the core of the Sun. It takes thousands of years for the light to escape from the austere gravitational pull of the star. And then it suddenly travels to unknown, unfamiliar and dark destination of the universe never to return home again. Place a mirror in its way and it will change its direction. Light of the Sun travel fast but not even fractionally as fast as thoughts of love, care and understanding. Sunlight makes us see things because it gets bounced back from things to enter into our eyes. It is we who can see. It is we who have light of love and Beauty in this world. Happiness is within our hearts as true light – the Light.

Besides, the people with dark skin get tanned in the sunlight and people with light skin get sunburned - both unhappy. The only good use of sunlight is for the plants. They live and grow in sunlight no problem. If we benefit from the plants and eat their seeds then we should know that we are indebted to the plants we smash and then gobble up. The Sun would not give food directly to us. Would he?

Thats a tricky question, and its answer could be applied to all processes really... The answer is Yes....and No. Let me explain. Light is a triggering mechanism for systems responsible for our mood. More sunlight usually increases the seratonin output and production of similar molecules in the hypothalamus. It's not that sunlight has happiness in it, it is that the process of interaction with out ocular and neurvous systems has an emergant property (as biologists call it) that is happiness in us.

Yes. Studies have been done that have shown that people become depressed during the winter months when there is a lack of sunlight. Not to mention a little sunlight is good... your body creates vitamin D with it :)

Well, sunflowers follow the sun on its course through the sky, all living things need it and without it would die, therefore if you are happy to be alive, there must be happiness in sunlight, mind you, we can all have fun at night time too !!

Happiness only ever comes from within. It is the search for it that moulds us for the journey. The sun is just a bonus if you want it. But so is the laughter of small children or the new spring bloom of nature. If happiness is what you are searching, look in the mirror and search. You are the only one that can make you happy. Self love and respect is the way.

Yes ! Being in the sunlight is the greatest place. Being in the sunlight, you and your dog, camped beside a river in the wide open spaces is even better.

Is there happiness in the sunlight? Yes, it certainly helps to lift the spirits and dispel the gloom.

Is this a better answer than the grammatically challenged truism: 'If you live then your alive'?

If you live then your alive and that is reason to be happy Even Rejoice!
If not, then death has you and you cannot experience anything here.

(Ecc 9:5) For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

(Ecc 7:14) In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

For in life you will have troubles but, rely on and trust in the Lord and you will get through to salvation.

(Psa 34:6) This poor man cried, and the LORD heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.

(Psa 34:17) [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

(Pro 21:23) Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Hell No.

I got drunk and fell asleep outside and the sunlight did not make my skin happy.

I felt really crappy and wished it would rain to releive the pain from the burn.

There is happiness in RAIN.
