There is a difference between an addiction and an obsession. An obsession fades with time, an addiction does not. I am currently obsessed with WoW, and have at times in the past been obsessed by other games and things, but they all passed and I'm sure this obsession will pass also.

I just had a dream last night that me and my pet were out in Stranglethorn fighting raptors. Either I'm crazy or addicted. I don't know which.

I guess it can be. I've heard of people abandoning their families/jobs/responsibilities for the game.
Personally, I have a life, a job and stuff, and I don't let the game interfere with that.
