For RB's, it wouldn't help to list the top 3 unless your get a top 3 pick.

QB - Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Then there's high stock in Carson Palmer -im skeptical though-

RB-im gonna expand the list a bit-
Larry Johnson
Ladainian Tomlinson
Shaun Alexander
Clinton Portis
Tiki Barber
Ronnie Brown
Carnell Williams
Brian Westbrook

--take 2 RB's early. They go fast.

WR
Terrell Owens
Steve Smith
Chad Jackson
Randy Moss

TE
Antonio Gates
Jason Witten --somethings telling me his name isnt jason though-
Tony Gonzalez
Todd Heap

DEF
Chicago
Carolina
New York Giants

K
I'm gonna give you a pointer, kickers the last thing you should worry about. I always take Lawrence Tynes, because no one knows about him, and he's always still there for me to pick him last. He gets a ton of points from the Chiefs offense, so hes a great steal at the end.

Don't worry about it, since it's your first time. The draft will be difficult for you since you won't really understand whats going on, but your first time is just a learning experience...get a feel for what goes on. Take mental notes about how the league pans out, and keep an eye on who makes good stats, you may want them for your team next year. ;)

For this draft though, look to draft in this order (if you're doing an online or offline draft)
RB, RB, WR, TE, QB, DEF, WR, WR (then bench you see fit) and K.

Lots of luck man, have fun this season. If you want extra help feel free to send me an email.

it really is the appropriate 5 Cliff Notes: one million) There are almost purely one million starting up RB in protecting with crew and the solid ones are narrow to none, so take a minimum of one million stud RB interior the first 2 rounds if not 2 RBs because because the draft maintains, there'll be none left. 2) Draft your Kicker very last and DEF 2d to very last rounds and take the staggering accessible. there is not a lot of a huge difference between the first and intensely last position kicker so do not burn major spots in this position. 3) evaluation the bye weeks. once you're crew is loaded with adult men who all have an analogous bye week, you at the prompt are not likely to have sufficient starters to field a crew and are particularly a lot giving up a "W". With that recognize-how, even as (not if) you draft your back up QB (Later rounds), make sure they don't have an analogous bye week as your starter. That rule ought to stick with for all positions, yet for a newbie, only commence w/ the QB. 4) do not draft gamers only because they are on your popular crew and do not draft too many gamers from an analogous crew (see Rule #3) 5) be careful of "runs". If a positon run is going on, make sure you at the prompt are not left retaining your jockstrap, yet to boot make sure you stick with rule #2. If there's a run on TE's pay interest. If there's a run on ok's, sit down back and smile and construct your crew with stud RBs, WR's and QB's. solid success!

QB - P. Manning - IND
M. Hasselbeck - SEA
T. Brady - NE

RB - L. Johnson - KC
S. Alexander - SEA
L. Tomlinson - SD

WR - T. Holt - IND
S. Smith - CAR
L. Fitzgerald - ARZ

If you are drafting online, they usually put the players in statistical order, based on rankings of the prior year. Yahoo has a pretty good job of doing this.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes you can end up with a pretty good team just using the default rankings.
