More people should know what a bad person John Lennon really was.
He was doing heeps of drugs, abandoned his kid not to be seen or heard from for YEARS, he was mean to him when he eventually got around to seeing him. He treated his poor first wife inexusably cruel, someone who loved him and was dedicated to him for years, since he was just a teen boy. He got heavy into drugs, tripped on acid everyday with his small kid wandering about the house and then ditched them in a merciless fashion for an ugly opportunist witch.
Read "John" by Cynthia Lennon and see what Julian has to say about his dad. He said to spread love but he didn't have an ounce of it for his poor small son who was completely left flat for years without a phone call.--Yet he told people to call perfect strangers and say 'i love you'
IT wasn't that he wasn't around, it's that he was a druggy, dead beat dad, hypocite.

After the bitter divorce, Cynthia got custody of Julian. John was spending most of his time in the U.S., and his relationship with his son and ex-wife was sporadic at best.

No he was not yoko says he was a good father to his sean and older 1st boy julian but julians mom dint want the limelight and rif raf for their life.. he was a good dad julian did a cd and john was a gr8 dad proud an taught him his philosophy all beatles dads were gr8 to their kids the music says much about them all they were deep in the laster yrs of beign together..
