I am 5 ft 5in and my boyfriend 5ft 6in. I know this is a normal height but, is there anything I can do during pregnancy that would enable my baby to be taller when they grow up?

I am asking because

a. I have never heard of any way to do this and it was a shot in the dark, and

b. my boyfriend was bullied all the way through school because he didnt grow to his full height till 18. I would just like my child to have a happier time in life.

Genetics decide the height of your child.
If your boyfriend is worried about future bullying because of past bullying then he is best placed to ensure that your child grows up in a loving, secure environment, knowing that they are unique and special no matter what anyone else might say or do to them. If he can be brought up to rise above and ignore any cynical comments then he will be a better person for it.

Anyway - bet your partner was bullied for his height purely because the bullies were jealous of him for some other reason. I am sure he had a far better life than the bullies.

The baby's genes are determined by DNA, but you CAN help him or her grow taller to at least their full potential.

Give the child as much proper nutrition as possible. Consider breast-feeding the baby, and then when older make sure it gets it's vitamins every day.

Nutrition is a major reason why people today are much taller on average than people 100 years ago or earlier. Every see an authentic suit of armor or walk through an old European home? They were designed for much shorter people!

With proper nutrition and plenty of exercise, your child will be as healthy and tall as his or her genes will allow.

Steroids and bovine growth hormone. It's what McDonalds use to get their cows nice and big.

You might balloon, but Ronald McDonald does after all say its safe for kids!

Oh and thats not a normal height for your hubby - he is at least 3" under the national (UK) average.

The blueprint for your baby has already been determined by the genes, DNA that make up the child. Nothing you can do at this point will change who your child will eventually be.

yours are perfectly normal heights, why does it matter if the baby grows up to be that height or even shorter? maybe they wouldn't want to be taller! what's wrong with you? I'm confused..

you're baby may be tall, it really doesnt depend on just the two of you, my husband is almost 6 feet tall and his mom is like 5'4 and dad 5'7, so you should just eat whats healthy for you and the baby and just be happy you are having a child and congrats too

My ob stated ferograd c while i replaced into clinically determined with low iron throughout the time of being pregnant. The C section refers to nutrition C that's extremely substantial to help with the absorption of iron. So possibly up your nutrition C intake besides.
